Along the narrow side street, called Jakobsbergsgatan, people move close to the façade where hand-glazed tiles provide a more intimate scale and range of colour and tactile experiences.
The heart of the building is a spacious atrium. The room, which is characterised by the abundance of daylight, is a dynamic and creative meeting place. The materials in the atrium have a high level of detailing, texture and patterns. Hexagons appear in brass, wood and glass detailing as well as in a tapestry of synthetic grass, creating a graphic signature for the building.
The renovation of Grävlingen was completed in the autumn 2018 and the façade won The Macael Award the same year.
